About the position

The Third-Party Vendor Management (TPVM) Executive at MUFG Bank is responsible for overseeing the deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the TPVM Program. This role involves managing vendor risk management processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidance, and leading teams to standardize risk management practices. The TPVM Executive will also serve as a subject matter expert on vendor risk and will collaborate with various departments to enhance the effectiveness of vendor management across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and maintain the Third-Party Vendor Management Program.
  • Participate in the governance of the vendor risk management program.
  • Manage staff and teams to standardize processes for risk identification and assessment.
  • Develop and deploy policies, procedures, and tools for effective vendor management.
  • Ensure timely vendor performance feedback and collaboration on development plans.
  • Sponsor developmental opportunities for professional staff.
  • Interpret and apply regulatory guidance and best practices in vendor risk management.
  • Oversee vendor assessments and ensure critical risk issues are identified.
  • Monitor new developments in vendor management processes and implement improvements.
  • Prepare and analyze third-party risk reporting for senior management.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in bank vendor management, audit, compliance, or risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Ability to stay updated on technologies and security enhancements.
  • Proven record of building programs and processes with competing priorities.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret professional journals and regulations.
  • Experience driving cross-functional collaboration and obtaining results through influence.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
