About the position

The Thompson Spa Lead is responsible for supervising the spa front desk and colleagues, ensuring positive guest relations and maintaining high service standards. This role involves overseeing daily operations, assisting the Spa Manager and Director of Spa and Wellness, and ensuring a seamless guest experience in various spa areas including the front desk, boutique, and fitness center.

Responsibilities

• Supervise spa front desk operations and colleagues to ensure high-quality service.
• Lead daily scheduling and front desk operations with efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain knowledge of departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
• Assist in creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for spa operations.
• Monitor cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
• Resolve guest complaints quickly to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain relationships with all hotel departments in a professional manner.
• Organize and maintain retail inventory and supplies, reporting shortages as needed.
• Assist with general clerical duties including inventory and restocking merchandise.
• Coordinate and schedule spa requests and appointments, ensuring adequate staffing.
• Train new spa front desk and attendant colleagues on service standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a spa setting preferred.
• Valid TABC Certification and Food Handler Certification required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.
• Basic math and computational skills for handling billing accurately.
• Moderate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and spa scheduling software.
