About the position

The Commercial Account Executive at Cisco ThousandEyes is responsible for leading the sales process within the Commercial Central Region, focusing on prospective customers and channel partners. This role aims to drive growth in new business by developing strategic relationships with commercial accounts and executing well-defined account plans. The position is an individual contributor role that carries a quota and requires a proactive approach to sales, including territory planning, pipeline development, and successful negotiation and closing of deals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and source sales opportunities that align with the ideal customer profile for ThousandEyes.
  • Initiate contact and professional follow-up for all sales meetings within the assigned territory.
  • Meet all sales objectives and bookings targets in accordance with company growth expectations.
  • Develop revenue expansion opportunities across a base of accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with Cisco Account Managers and other sales specialists to drive ThousandEyes revenue growth.
  • Drive product adoption and usage in collaboration with Customer Success and Product Management teams.
  • Deliver sales presentations, onsite visits, and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Foster mutually beneficial relationships with ThousandEyes customers and partners.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly/yearly bookings targets while delivering consistent and reliable forecasting.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive account strategy.
  • Accelerate new customer acquisition and upsell growth in existing accounts.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and lead pricing discussions and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure complete and accurate ongoing maintenance of accounts, forecasts, proposals, and account activity in Salesforce.com.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of sales territory management experience working for a technology vendor selling enterprise software to network buyers.
  • SaaS sales experience is a plus.
  • A proven track record of consistently exceeding quota.
  • Self-motivated with problem-solving skills and able to work with limited direction.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a high growth environment.
