About the position

The Threat Finance Analyst - Mid position at Cherokee Federal involves supporting the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) by conducting all-source forensic accounting analysis to provide intelligence on foreign financial activities. The role requires a strong understanding of financial networks associated with threats to U.S. national security, including terrorism and narco-terrorism. Analysts will aggregate and analyze data from various sources to produce finished intelligence products.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct all-source forensic accounting analysis and production by fusing financial and transactional data.
  • Analyze foreign financial activities related to threat financiers and financial networks associated with terrorism and other threats.
  • Aggregate and fuse multi-modal transactional data and identity.
  • Map and analyze financial data from formal banking systems and informal transfer means.
  • Prepare and integrate financial data from various sources including SIGINT, HUMINT, and law enforcement.
  • Understand payment relationships, revenue generation, and money laundering methods.
  • Apply statistical techniques and geospatial analysis tools to transactional data.
  • Perform pattern analysis on large data sets.
  • Apply intelligence collection requirements and search terms to DOMEX triage processes.
  • Interface with structured data and data forensics tools.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Counterintelligence polygraph.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of the concepts involved in Threat Finance Analyst functions.
  • Ability to apply Intelligence Community (IC) and DoD classification guidelines.
  • Strong logical reasoning skills for evaluating and synthesizing information.
  • Experience in producing timely and concise analytic reports using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in structured research and maintaining information within security protocols.
  • Knowledge of complex analytic methodologies to strengthen analytic arguments.
  • Understanding of intelligence collection capabilities and limitations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience defending analytic judgments with sound conclusions.
  • Ability to collaborate with other IC members on information sharing.
  • Experience in leading teams in researching complex problems.
