About the position

The Threat Prevention Product Engineer at Bank of America is responsible for designing tools and services within a technical domain that align with business strategies and adhere to architectural governance, standards, and policies. This role focuses on creating infrastructure tools, facilitating the deployment of technical solutions, and improving efficiency in tool/service implementation and maintenance. The engineer will also manage risk and compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop infrastructure tools and their integration as a service.
• Facilitate the deployment of technical solutions by creating templates, playbooks, and automation for implementation.
• Identify opportunities for improving efficiency in the implementation and maintenance of tools/services.
• Manage the team's risk and compliance initiatives to ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in WAN/LAN networking, web and application-based proxy services, and load balancing.
• Experience in developing and managing enterprise-level risk and governance processes throughout a product's development life-cycle.
• Strong planning, organizing, leadership, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with log analysis/reporting tools (e.g., Splunk).
• Experience with content/malware inspection tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Basic programming/scripting skills.
