About the position

The Threat Systems Analyst at PeopleTec will provide critical support to the Threat Modeling Center (TMC) by developing and modeling threat signatures. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders to assess threat needs, evaluating intelligence data, and ensuring the accuracy of threat models. The analyst will also work on improving threat data generation capabilities and support the development of software tools for integrated threat production.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal MDA and external stakeholders to determine threat needs for Integrated Master Test Plan events.
  • Obtain intelligence assessments and reference data necessary to define and build threat models consisting of kinematic, RF, and IR models.
  • Evaluate intelligence data and provide technical reviews of associated Threat Model Requirements Documents produced by the prime contractor.
  • Articulate change recommendations for threat models.
  • Provide verification and validation recommendations of prime contractor produced kinematic, RF, and IR models.
  • Develop event verification and validation documentation comparing all threat models to the latest intelligence assessments.
  • Recognize and understand shortfalls in threat data generation capability and recommend technological improvements.
  • Work with the MDA Core Truth Models team to identify and evaluate software applications for emerging threat signature requirements.
  • Integrate efforts with other MDA team members to meet M&S program objectives for MDA events and real-world activities.
  • Support TMC M&S threat software/tool development for integrated threat production capability.
  • Represent the government and interface with contractors at technical interchanges.
  • Assist MDA organizations, the Intelligence Community, and warfighters in articulating threat data needs.
  • Investigate and recommend innovative technical approaches and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Master's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree and 20+ years of relevant experience.
  • Creative thinking, problem solving, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse team of engineers with different perspectives and objectives.
  • Effective communication of complex ideas to a non-technical audience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, TEAMS).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of kinematics, radar cross section, or infrared data.
  • Familiarity with software that supports the production of threat stimulus data.
