The Thrift Store Customer Service Associate at SPCA of Northern Nevada plays a vital role in providing excellent customer service while supporting the mission of saving homeless pets. This full-time position involves engaging with customers, operating Point-Of-Sale systems, and collaborating with team members to ensure a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for upcycling and thrifting, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers in a friendly and respectful manner
• Operate Point-Of-Sale systems and handle cash transactions accurately
• Collaborate effectively with the team, practicing active listening and clear communication
• Cross-train with donation intake and distribution associates
• Flexibility to perform additional tasks as assigned

Requirements

• At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred
• Familiarity with Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and cash-handling best practices
• Capable of being on your feet for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Maintain a reliable means of transportation to and from work

Nice-to-haves
