About the position

The Assistant Site Director (ASD) at Thrive Scholars will assist the Director in executing the daily operations of the Thrive Academy summer programs at assigned host universities. This role is crucial in ensuring a positive, enriching, and safe experience for high-achieving, underrepresented students participating in the program. The ASD will manage various administrative tasks, support programming, and supervise students, contributing to the overall success of the summer academy.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director in daily execution of Thrive Academy summer programs.
  • Organize participation records, rosters, and scholar transportation information.
  • Collect daily class attendance and support classroom needs with professors.
  • Co-host staff meetings and provide feedback to ensure strong performance.
  • Support student orientation and lead a weekly session on college readiness topics.
  • Plan and chaperone off-site field trips and special events.
  • Monitor student safety and well-being, providing support for any arising issues.
  • Ensure students abide by Thrive Academies Community Standards and attendance policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with youth.
  • Experience managing people and programming in a learning environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • CPR & First Aid certification preferred.
  • Experience in school counseling or social work preferred.
