About the position

The Ticket Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all box offices for Ilitch Sports + Entertainment, ensuring high standards of customer service and adherence to cash handling procedures. This role involves managing staff, maintaining event setups, and ensuring compliance with ticketing practices, while also collaborating with various departments to optimize ticket sales and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise/manage Box Office sales staff.
  • Build and maintain events for Little Caesars Arena and other company venues.
  • Assist preparation of Daily Sales reports for all company events.
  • Oversee box office operations during performances, including preparation of Box reports and Event Settlements.
  • Ensure accessible compliant ticketing practices are in place for every event.
  • Work with sales staff to create invoice templates and account manager edits.
  • Administer established rules regarding ticket resale.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain ticket price codes.
  • Program user privileges for ticketing systems.
  • Set up third-party integration requirements as needed.
  • Assist with daily reconciliation and preparation of deposits, and monitor cash flow.
  • Work with booking, touring, and artist representatives to maximize sales on events.
  • Maintain digital files and reports in Workday or time management system.
  • Ensure positive relationships with promoters, agents, and tour accountants.
  • Work proactively with director and operations managers for successful show functioning.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in business administration, management or related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience as box office manager or representative, including management level work experience.
  • Knowledge of ticketing software, specifically Ticketmaster Archtics software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Box Office operations and customer service procedures.
  • Ability to direct staff in handling large sums of money with cash management controls.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

  • Knowledge of sports and entertainment industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
