About the position

The Ticket Sales Executive position at High Point Rockers is an entry-level role focused on actively promoting and selling tickets for the team's home games and events. This full-time position offers an opportunity to enter the sports industry, with responsibilities including prospecting for season tickets, mini-plans, group packages, and corporate partnerships. The role emphasizes customer service, sales goals achievement, and collaboration with various departments within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively promote and sell tickets, group packages, and upgrades for Rockers home games and other events.
  • Generate sales through outbound telephone calls, outside appointments, and other communication methods.
  • Develop referrals and leads through networking, cold calling, prospecting, and other techniques.
  • Reach and exceed weekly, monthly, and yearly sales goals.
  • Retain and maximize a portfolio of Rockers clients, including Season Ticket Holders, Corporate Partners, and Group Leaders.
  • Maintain and produce accurate reports regarding sales, appointments, and prospecting calls.
  • Participate in outside events, promotions, client entertainment, and other activities as required.
  • Work and perform assigned responsibilities during home games, community events, and any other event at Truist Point.
  • Provide superior customer service in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly sales team meetings.
  • Communicate across all areas of the organization including Box Office, Promotions, Marketing, Public Relations, Community Events, Operations, etc.
  • Work closely with Oak View Group, stadium concessionaire and caterer, to execute all catered baseball events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sport Management, Sales, Marketing or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of proven sales experience in sports or entertainment industry preferred.
  • Ability to work as both an individual and team member to achieve sales goals.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and achieve objectives.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills a must.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Experience with a CRM program, specifically Hub Spot, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of sports, specifically baseball, a definite plus.
