About the position

The Ticketing Manager for Global Touring at AEG Presents is responsible for developing and implementing ticketing strategies for various events and venues. This role involves collaborating with artist management, venues, and discount vendors to create ticket packages, managing ticket holds, and distributing daily ticket counts to internal departments and external partners. The position requires a strong understanding of ticketing software and revenue management strategies, as well as the ability to train new staff and manage ticket sales operations.

Responsibilities

  • Gather show information from artists and talent buyers to build shows in ticketing software.
  • Develop scaling for each show/event based on demographic and market related to artist and venue location.
  • In conjunction with the ticketing strategy team, develop and execute revenue management strategies including dynamic pricing and scaling.
  • Manage ticket holds for each event/show and process ticket orders for artist management, record labels, and internal buys.
  • Prepare and distribute daily ticket counts for agents, departments, and offices at AEG Presents.
  • Train new ticketing staff on ticket sales, will call, guest and artist lists, and coordination with tour and venue.
  • Collaborate with Talent Buyer, venues, artists, and companies like Groupon and Living Social to provide discount or group rate tickets.
  • Create pop-up box offices at seasonal shows and collaborate with special events groups on event ticketing.
  • Perform other duties or tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of related work experience in the music or entertainment industry.
  • 4-6 years of previous supervisory experience.
  • 4-6 years of experience in developing start-up box offices, strategies, and arena ticketing preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience in box office operations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting and budgeting principles.
  • Familiarity with AXS, Ticketmaster, and other ticketing platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Professional.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
