About the position

The Tier 1 Helpdesk Support Technician is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring the proper functioning of technological systems through routine maintenance and troubleshooting. This role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while continuously learning and adapting to new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the IT Manager in maintaining and supporting technological systems, ensuring proper functioning through routine testing and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system software, hardware, and network-related issues
  • Escalate issues to the appropriate support team when necessary
  • Assist in building, repairing, and maintaining computers and other hardware as needed
  • Set up and configure workstations, printers, copiers, and antivirus software
  • Provide technical support to end-users, responding to requests and resolving issues
  • Support the relocation and installation of end-user hardware and VoIP phone systems

Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for software and hardware issues
  • A+ Certification
  • Experience with Windows Domain Servers
  • Proficient in desktop support and end-user assistance
  • Some college education or technical certification preferred
  • Experience with phone systems (VoIP)
  • Ability to conduct routine tech support and system testing for ongoing maintenance
