About the position

The Tier 1 Help Desk Support Technician role at Centre Technologies focuses on implementing and supporting various IT infrastructure technologies. The position emphasizes problem resolution, onboarding new clients, and managing hardware installations while ensuring excellent customer service and communication. The technician will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to innovative IT solutions tailored to client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and support various IT infrastructure technologies.
  • Manage problem resolution and escalate issues in a timely manner.
  • Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with excellent time management skills.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and support to clients.
  • Document time sheets, expense reports, and project documentation on or before deadlines.
  • Stay updated on market trends and embrace change in technology.
  • Assist with change-management activities and prepare documentation for projects.
  • Present progress reports to supervisors or project managers.
  • Manage deployment of equipment in compliance with established technology policies.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call schedule for escalation of IT issues.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in IT-related study or field.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows 7/8/10 and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Administration tools (AD Users and Computers, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy).
  • Understanding of basic network concepts and application, desktop, and server virtualization.
  • Knowledge of Desktop Deployment/Imaging.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or higher preferred.

  • CompTIA A+ Certification
  • MDAA, MCSA Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
  • Microsoft Office 365 Admin portal knowledge
  • Understanding of File Permissions (NTFS & Sharing)
