About The Position

The SOC Analyst Internship at WPS Health Solutions offers a unique opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations. Interns will work within the Security Operations Center, focusing on monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents while collaborating on a group project aimed at developing resources for future interns. Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in higher education or a recent graduate.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of network protocols, security concepts, and threat analysis.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools is a plus.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong desire to learn and grow in the cybersecurity field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring security incidents and alerts.
• Support the detection and response to security threats.
• Collaborate on the 'Pay-It-Forward Project' to develop resources for future interns.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance understanding of corporate culture and cybersecurity operations.
• Present findings and experiences to senior executives at the conclusion of the internship.
