About the position

The Tier 2 Data Center Technician role at Next Level Technician involves performing various technical tasks related to data center installations and maintenance. The technician will be responsible for ensuring that installations meet industry standards while adhering to safety protocols and customer timelines. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with different teams to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform data center cage, cabinets, and overhead conveyance installations, including ladder rack, fiber guide, and basket tray, in accordance with industry standards.
• Pull, dress, terminate, and test CAT6 cable.
• Pull, dress, ribbon splice, and test fiber from 24 SMF to 3456 SMF.
• Read and follow drawings, instructions, and specifications while maintaining the project scope and adhering to safety procedures.
• Prepare field notes, interpret engineering drawings in the field, and make recommendations for changes as required.
• Understand and adhere to customer timelines.
• Serve as a corporate liaison, championing cultural change and encouraging critical corporate initiatives, enhancing organizational morale, and driving operational efficiency.
• Coordinate and communicate activities with other employees, departments, and management.
