About the position

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tier 2 IT Technician based in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support to clients, troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, and contributing to the development and improvement of IT processes and procedures. You will engage with clients through various channels, ensuring that their technical needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and in upholding the core values and mission of our organization. As a Tier 2 IT Technician, you will troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to hardware, software, network, security, and cloud services in accordance with established protocols and procedures. You will also be responsible for escalating unresolved issues to the appropriate team or vendor, keeping clients and management informed about the status and progress of these issues. Additionally, you will assist in training and mentoring Tier 1 technicians, sharing best practices and feedback to enhance team performance. Your role will also involve contributing to the documentation and improvement of IT processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Leveraging your skills in various technologies, including Cisco and Citrix, you will perform your role effectively and help drive the success of our IT operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to clients through various channels such as phone, email, remote access, and onsite visits.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to hardware, software, network, security, and cloud services in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate team or vendor and keep clients and management informed about the status and progress.
  • Assist in training and mentoring Tier 1 technicians and share best practices and feedback.
  • Contribute to the documentation and improvement of IT processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and professionalism in line with our core values and mission.
  • Leverage skills in Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, Computer Hardware, Database, Dell Technologies, Active Directory, Apple Devices, Backup Technologies, and Configuration Management.

Requirements

  • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tier 2 IT Technician or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is required
  • Experience with Citrix Technologies is necessary
  • Must have knowledge of Computer Hardware
  • Familiarity with Database management is essential
  • Expertise in Dell Technologies is required
  • Must have experience with Active Directory
  • Should be proficient in handling Apple Devices
  • Knowledge of Backup Technologies is necessary
  • Proficiency in Configuration Management is required
