About the position

The Tier 2 Support Tech position is a full-time role focused on maintaining and troubleshooting network performance, providing user support, and ensuring the security of user accounts. The role involves working with both local and wide area networks, as well as various software applications, to ensure efficient operations within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain network performance and troubleshoot network problems.
  • Establish and maintain user e-mail accounts, providing training and support when necessary.
  • Recommend and schedule necessary repairs and installations, and configure workstations.
  • Train operators to use software programs, providing references and support.
  • Ensure confidentiality and maintain strong user security.
  • Maintain ERP software.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of local and wide area networks, standard operating systems, software packages, and software utilities.
  • Work with Office 365 Admin Center and Active Directory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information engineering, or related areas, or equivalent combination of education/training/experience.
  • Working knowledge of LAN and WAN networks, standard operating systems, software packages, and software utilities.
  • Working knowledge of Office 365 Admin Center and Active Directory.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods.
  • Knowledge of systems testing and security principles and methods.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX.
