About the position

Join the team of men and women that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. GDIT is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the DCGS Operations Center (DOC) program at Langley AFB, VA. The Senior Network Engineer supports the Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Processing, Exploitation, Dissemination (PED) Operations Center (DOC). This role involves the configuration, integration, and upgrading of all network architectural components across the AF DCGS Enterprise. As a Tier 3 Network Infrastructure Manager, you will establish system performance parameters, conduct network trend analysis, and create reports and graphs monthly. You will also sort and file network traffic based on source and destination IP addresses as needed, and establish baseline network configuration and performance parameters in support of unique ISR sensor data. In this position, you will conduct network analysis to ensure the performance of the network, support the design, installation, and integration of new routers and other equipment on the enterprise, and establish proper data flows between DCGS and other Enterprise nodes. You will maintain network interface/port configurations, IP routing tables, firewall settings, filter tables, passwords, and performance controls. Additionally, you will manage and operate software applications at all sites required to conduct network management of the DPA, respond to hardware and software problems related to DPA equipment, and coordinate with Government leads to optimize Campus Area Network (CAN) routers, switches, and cryptographic devices. Your responsibilities will also include developing and enforcing a comply-to-connect standard for the DPA, reviewing all integration efforts to ensure engineering rigor and security practices are maintained, and processing and implementing all network service requests and security approved ports and services requests.
