Tier II Field Service Technician

About the position

The Tier II Field Service Technician at Stealth Monitoring is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting various security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems. This role involves working collaboratively with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure efficient project completion and high customer satisfaction. The technician will also provide support and guidance to other field service technicians, contributing to the overall success of the region's operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot analog and IP-based CCTV systems.
• Repair, replace, and maintain low-voltage equipment at customer locations.
• Oversee subcontractors on service projects and new installations.
• Proactively communicate with customers and team members regarding service issues.
• Maintain accurate inventory and document field activities.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two plus years of experience in IP Video Surveillance, Access Control, and Intrusion Systems in a commercial setting.
• Intermediate knowledge of computer networks, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, gateways, routers, and switches.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and operational manuals.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses required by national, state, and local codes.

Nice-to-haves

• A+ Certification and Microsoft certification are a plus.
• Additional formal training and certifications in related fields.
