About the position
The TIG Welder position at Aerotek involves performing welding tasks primarily using TIG techniques, with some MIG welding and fabrication work. The role requires interpreting complex blueprints and performing necessary fixturing and set-up for custom projects in a clean and organized shop environment. This is not a production shop, allowing for a focus on quality and precision in welding across various positions.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding, with some MIG and fabrication work.
- Interpret complex blueprints for custom projects.
- Conduct fixturing and set-up as required for welding tasks.
- Ensure compliance with welding qualifications per ASME Section IX and/or AWS D1.1 for various welding processes.
Requirements
- Experience in TIG welding with qualifications per ASME Section IX and/or AWS D1.1.
- Ability to perform welding in Horizontal, Vertical, Overhead, and/or All Positions.
- Familiarity with MIG and fabrication processes.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with brazing, quality control, function testing, and MIG & Stick welding.
