About the position
The Fabricator Welder - Class 1 position involves working in a manufacturing environment to fabricate and weld parts according to specified standards. The role is crucial for supporting the Manufacturing Department of a global manufacturer known for its excellence in producing turbines and combustion products across various industries. The ideal candidate will be a skilled welder with a strong background in fabrication, contributing to the team's success and ensuring high-quality production standards.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate parts from drawings
- Perform Class 1 Fabrication to BS EN 287, ASME IX, 15614, NORSOK M601 standards
- Prepare parts for welding using saws, pillar drills, grinding, pipe bending, and pipe threading
- Conduct welding activities to Class 1 standards using TIG, MIG, MAG, and Flux Core welding techniques on common welded joints
Requirements
- Experience within a similar environment
- Considerable fabrication experience
- Class 1 Welding experience
- Circular fabrication experience (advantageous)
- Mechanical background
- Ability to read Manufacturing Drawings
- Experience with work that is X-Ray tested
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Desire and ability to contribute to the team
