Tig Welder

About the position

The Tig Welder position at a reputable company in Fayetteville, TN involves performing welding tasks in various positions and ensuring quality through inspections. The role requires proficiency in welding techniques and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. This is a temporary position with a focus on teamwork and decision-making empowerment.

Responsibilities

• Welds in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions
• Operates grinders and DA sanders to clean up/smooth welds
• Performs visual inspection and dimensional inspection using basic measuring tools
• Reads and interprets drawings, follows routers, and uses simple math for calculations
• Applies wire and filler material for various steel alloys, aluminum, and galvanized materials
• Maintains knowledge of fixturing and weld setup parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
• Updates computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years of welding experience
• Proficient in welding techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience with visual and dimensional inspections
