About the position
Living Proof Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Product Development Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and formulation of innovative hair care products that align with our brand's commitment to science and efficacy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Your expertise in cosmetic chemistry and product formulation will be essential in driving the development process from concept to launch. As a Product Development Specialist, you will conduct market research to identify trends and consumer needs, translating these insights into actionable product concepts. You will formulate and test new products, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and safety standards. Collaboration with suppliers and manufacturers will be key to sourcing high-quality ingredients and materials. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining product documentation, including specifications and stability reports, to support the product lifecycle. In addition to product formulation, you will participate in product presentations and training sessions for internal teams and external partners. Your ability to communicate complex scientific concepts in an accessible manner will be crucial in promoting our products and educating stakeholders about their benefits. You will also monitor product performance post-launch, gathering feedback and making recommendations for improvements as necessary.
Responsibilities

Requirements

- 2+ years of experience in product development or formulation in the beauty or personal care industry.
- Strong understanding of cosmetic chemistry and formulation techniques.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and safety standards in product development.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects.
