About the position

As a Business Operations Manager for TikTok's ISV Commerce Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the interactions between TikTok users and merchants globally. This position is integral to the Commerce Partnerships team, which is focused on scaling these interactions to maximize value for merchants, users, and creators alike. You will collaborate closely with the Product Marketing and Operations team leads to establish effective strategies and processes that drive this value creation. Your work will directly contribute to the mission of TikTok, which is to inspire creativity and bring joy to its users. In this role, you will be responsible for researching various industries, verticals, and markets to develop the most effective strategies in partnership with the leadership team and the business development team. You will own the strategy documentation process, ensuring that synergies across the business are maximized. Additionally, you will provide essential support to the Business Development arm of the team, modeling partnership potential and developing referral and incentive programs that enhance collaboration and growth. Your responsibilities will also include managing core operations for the Partner Development and Management team. This encompasses the development of dashboards, the establishment of scalable Partner CRM tools, annual planning, setting OKRs, ongoing reporting, and contract work. You will proactively resolve business issues and support the deployment and growth of partner enablement and activation efforts in collaboration with the Partner Marketing & Operations teams. Your contributions will be crucial in driving maximum impact on TikTok's business and ensuring that the platform continues to thrive as a leading destination for short-form mobile video.

Responsibilities

  • Research industries, verticals, markets to establish the most adequate strategy in partnership with the team's leadership and the business development team.
  • Own the strategy documentation process to maximize synergies across the business.
  • Provide support to the Business Development arm of the team to model partnership potential, referral and incentive programs.
  • Work closely with Partner Development Managers, Product Marketing, Customer Solution Tech and Product Operation teams to establish strategy and processes to maximize value for merchants, users, and creators.
  • Manage core operations for the Partner Development and Management team including development of dashboards, establishment of scalable Partner CRM tools, annual planning, OKRs, ongoing reporting and contract work, proactively resolving business issues.
  • Support the deployment and growth of partner enablement and activation efforts with Partner Marketing & Operations teams to drive maximum impact on the business.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of data analysis, business operations, strategy, consulting, or related analytical experience. High growth tech start-up experience preferred.
  • E-commerce experience is required and marketplace/ISV App Store management is a bonus.
  • Exceptional data analytics skills.
  • Skilled project manager with exceptional organization.
  • High EQ team-player with the ability to manage expectations across time-zones and cultures.
  • Self-motivation and ability to thrive in ambiguity and adjust quickly to change.
  • Comfortable working with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Fast learner, highly entrepreneurial with a good sense of judgment and original thinking.
  • Personable, collaborative and capable of building relationships cross-functionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
