About the position

TikTok is seeking a Data Analyst to join our E-commerce Strategy team in Seattle. The commerce industry has experienced significant growth, and TikTok aims to position itself as the preferred commerce channel for merchants, creators, and affiliates. The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting strategic research, resource management, and target setting to drive business growth in the US and other regions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with E-commerce Strategy teams to analyze business performance and optimize strategies. You will be responsible for curating datasets, developing dashboards, and conducting exploratory data analyses using statistical modeling techniques. Your insights will help propose innovative solutions for competitor analysis, supply efficiency, product diversity, and understanding customer purchase behavior. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying effective actions and strategies that align with TikTok's mission of bringing joy to shopping. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics or data science, with at least two years of relevant experience. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in data analysis tools such as Spark/Hive SQL, Python, and R, as well as familiarity with dashboarding tools like Tableau or PowerBI. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage cross-functional projects are essential for delivering impactful results. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with E-commerce Strategy teams to support strategic research, resource management, and target setting, aimed at driving business growth in the US and other regions.
  • Plan, monitor, diagnose, and optimize business performance by curating datasets, developing dashboards, conducting exploratory data analyses, and applying statistical modeling techniques.
  • Propose innovative solutions for competitor analysis, supply efficiency, product diversity, and customer purchase behavior to help identify the most effective actions and strategies.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of working experience in data analytics or data science, with a bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Proficiency in data and statistical analysis tools such as Spark/Hive SQL, Python, and/or R, along with strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Familiarity with dashboarding tools like Tableau or PowerBI is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects and deliver impactful results of high quality.
  • Strong communication skills and consistent follow-through are crucial.
