About the position

As a Product Operations Manager for TikTok Shop, you will play a crucial role in the e-commerce sector, which has seen tremendous growth and is a competitive space among leading Internet companies. TikTok Shop aims to re-imagine global eCommerce by integrating rich content and providing endless joy to users. In this position, you will be part of the Product Solutions & Operations team, which is responsible for building comprehensive go-to-market plans across TikTok's eCommerce products. This team drives product education, adoption, and revenue, acting as the voice of the market by collecting and prioritizing insights that shape the future of TikTok's eCommerce offerings. Your role will involve setting and maintaining category structures, analyzing user behavior and market trends, and collaborating with various teams to enhance the platform's operational efficiency and user experience. You will be tasked with establishing management processes for categories, iterating on category structures based on internal and external feedback, and working closely with product and R&D teams to develop effective product requirements. Additionally, you will collaborate with algorithm and recommendation teams to improve the consumer experience through refined operations. Your efforts will directly impact the quality of merchant information and the overall user experience on the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Set and maintain TTS categories and attributes, output rules and establish management processes to meet customer needs and support business development.
  • Collect and investigate internal and external needs and feedback based on user behavior and market trends, and carry out continuous iteration of category structure and attributes.
  • Analyze and evaluate category structure and attributes, and implement demand analysis for adding, splitting, merging, and closing categories.
  • Cooperate with product and R&D teams to output product requirements and plans related to category operations, improving management and operational efficiency.
  • Work with algorithm, product, search, and recommendation teams to apply category attribute data to front-end shopping guide scenarios, enhancing platform operations and consumer experience.
  • Establish merchant information quality standards in collaboration with the Product Detail Page (PDP) team to create a better user experience.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years' work experience in the e-commerce industry.
  • More than 2 years of e-commerce category operation experience on e-commerce platforms, with a good understanding of category design methodology, product characteristics, and consumer behavior.
  • Proficient in using data and metrics to determine improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and project management capabilities, with the ability to adjust strategies in complex situations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in global corporations is preferred.
  • Experience managing people and business operations end-to-end as a remote site leader.
