About the position

The Commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years, and TikTok Commerce is at the forefront of this evolution, re-imagining global eCommerce with rich content and endless joy. As a Product Strategy and Operations Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful adoption of TikTok's eCommerce platform by end-users, merchants, creators, and TikTok employees. This position involves close collaboration with Product Managers, Research & Development, business operations, and various other counterparts to develop product strategies and manage inbound and outbound responsibilities. In this role, you will conduct extensive quantitative and qualitative market studies to gather deep insights into purchasing and content-consumption behavior of end-users, as well as the business practices and preferences of merchants and creators. You will be responsible for managing input and feedback from various types of users, partnering with the product management team to devise product strategies that ensure long-term vision and success for the product. Your analytical skills will be essential as you prioritize product requirements based on market studies and user feedback, and participate in the product development lifecycle to ensure quality. You will also plan, orchestrate, and execute go-to-market activities, including product documentation and target audience activation plans. Monitoring key performance indicators and conducting gap analysis will be part of your responsibilities, as well as leading a team of Product Strategy and Operations individuals to ensure their growth and success. This position requires a strong communicator who thrives in a diverse work environment and is comfortable navigating global organizational structures.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct extensive quantitative and qualitative market studies to gather insights into purchasing and content-consumption behavior of end-users and business practices of merchants.
  • Manage input and feedback from various types of users including end-users, merchants, creators, and employees.
  • Partner with the product management team to devise product strategy for long-term vision and success.
  • Define product requirements based on market studies and user feedback, including business and product objectives.
  • Prioritize product requirements using ROI analysis, dependency analysis, and other techniques.
  • Participate in the product development lifecycle and review artifacts to ensure quality.
  • Plan, orchestrate, and execute go-to-market activities including product documentation and audience activation plans.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing to ensure product quality and optimal user experience prior to launch.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and conduct gap analysis to implement improvement plans.
  • Lead a team of Product Strategy and Operations individuals, responsible for their growth and success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in related fields (Computer Science, MBA) preferred.
  • 5-7 years of working experience in the internet industry; e-commerce marketplace experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, comfortable navigating global organizational structures.
  • Analytical, data-sensitive, and goal-driven, with the ability to set ambitious targets and execute rapid trial and error iterations.
  • Passion for content and enjoyment of shopping.
