About the position

As a Senior Data Scientist in Product Analytics, you will play a crucial role in the Global e-commerce Data Science team, which aims to maximize the efficiency of e-commerce transactions and lead product decision-making iterations. This position is pivotal in achieving sustainable growth in revenue through data and scientific methods, utilizing quantitative techniques such as mathematical statistics and machine learning. You will be responsible for developing a comprehensive analytics framework and product metrics to proactively track, attribute, and identify opportunities to improve TikTok Shop's business and user product. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the product team to identify growth drivers and develop a quantitative measurement approach. You will partner with key stakeholders to optimize overall product adoption and performance-driven growth, providing recommendations for improvements to achieve business goals. Your insights will be scaled through the development of systematic and comprehensive data solutions, and you will design and implement reporting dashboards along with the associated data pipeline to deliver insights and improve the workflows of internal teams. Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive analytics framework and product metrics to proactively track, attribute, and identify opportunities to improve TikTok Shop's business/user product.
  • Collaborate with the product team to identify growth drivers and develop a quantitative measurement approach.
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders to optimize overall product adoption and performance-driven growth, providing recommendations for improvements to achieve business goals.
  • Seek insights and scale insights through developing systematic and comprehensive data solutions.
  • Design and implement reporting dashboards and the associated data pipeline to deliver insights and improve the workflows of internal teams.

Requirements

  • Masters degree or above, major in mathematics, statistics, computer science is preferred; or major in science or engineering or engaged in data statistics, analysis, modeling related working areas after graduation.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in data science track, and background & experience in business product/short videos/ecommerce preferred.
  • Proficient in SQL/Hive/Python or R, experienced in massive data manipulation, machine learning & modeling.
  • Solid technical knowledge of A/B testing methodologies, can consistently explore and find the best practice.
  • Insightful data sense and rigorous logical mindset, capable of providing systematic approaches to solve business problems.

  • Be proactive: identify potential areas of improvement and take action to address them.
  • Have a strong learning ability and curiosity; quickly familiar with and starting a new business; can lead a small project team to support business.
