About the position

As a Senior Operation Manager for Merchandising Strategy within the TikTok Merchandise Shopping team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy, roadmap, and products for all merchandising needs on TikTok Shop. This position requires a deep understanding of eCommerce operations, seller products, and strategic consulting, with a focus on developing effective pricing and go-to-market strategies based on platform product capabilities and business requirements. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product and traffic teams to enhance merchant awareness and approaches to pricing operations. You will leverage insights for consumer understanding and utilize tools for product and market insights to establish growth and recruitment targets. Your operational strategies will aim to attract merchant engagement and enrich the variety of products available on the marketplace. A strong understanding of search and recommendation mechanisms is essential, as you will partner with product and traffic teams to establish a merchandise incubation mechanism that boosts the turnover of merchant-side products. The ideal candidate will possess strong logical thinking and strategic analytical abilities, adept at utilizing data for decision-making. You should be capable of sourcing data independently or in collaboration with others, demonstrating agility and flexibility in a fast-paced environment. Your project management skills will be crucial in planning, executing, and delivering results effectively. A results-oriented approach, curiosity-driven mindset, and the ability to motivate others will be key attributes for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective pricing and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies based on platform product capabilities and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with product and traffic teams to enhance merchant awareness and approaches to pricing operations, leveraging insights for consumer understanding.
  • Utilize tools for product and market insights to establish growth and recruitment targets, devising operational strategies to attract merchant engagement and enrich the variety of products on the marketplace.
  • Possess a deep understanding of search and recommendation mechanisms, partnering with product and traffic teams to establish a merchandise incubation mechanism, thereby boosting the turnover of merchant-side products.
  • Demonstrate strong logical thinking and strategic analytical abilities, utilizing data for decision-making.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience in eCommerce Ops management, seller products or merchandise operations or strategic consulting preferred, MBA is a plus.
  • Agility and flexibility, along with strong project management skills. Demonstrated experience in planning, executing, and delivering results in an agile environment.
  • Profound user understanding, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to navigate complex work environments and tasks.
  • Possess an owner's mindset and a results-oriented approach. You should be able to delve into core issues, set deadlines, collaborate with teams, and deliver solutions.
  • Curiosity-driven, enjoy thinking and learning, adept at motivating others, and possess a self-driven attitude.
