About the position

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, and our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. As part of the TikTok Commerce Product team, we are looking for a highly motivated Senior PMO to support the growth of our eCommerce initiatives. The eCommerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years, and TikTok Commerce aims to re-imagine global eCommerce with rich content and endless joy. In this role, you will be challenged to undertake complicated and multi-disciplinary product projects, driving the team to enhance product iteration and bring order to ambiguity. You will be responsible for strategic cross-functional product planning, prioritization, execution, and communication with key stakeholders. This position offers an opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment alongside talented teammates. As a Senior PMO, you will define strategy, roadmap, and drive execution for TikTok Commerce technical initiatives and key projects. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate the strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes with a clear timeline, exercising technical judgment. Building effective and transparent communication channels will be essential to align and partner with internal and external stakeholders and delivery teams. You will also work with cross-functional teams to continuously improve engineering efficiency and velocity, ensuring that the product development process is streamlined and effective. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation and a goal of improving overall velocity. You should be self-motivated, organized, insightful, and productive, with a deep experience in Product Development Project Management. Your ability to connect and bridge gaps within the company will be crucial, as will your entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills. This role is not just about managing projects; it's about inspiring creativity and driving impact for the company and the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy, roadmap, and drive execution for TikTok Commerce technical initiatives and key projects.
• Work with cross-functional teams to translate the strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes with a clear timeline by exercising technical judgment.
• Build effective and transparent communication channels to align and partner with internal as well as external stakeholders and delivery team.
• Work with cross-functional teams to continuously improve engineering efficiency and velocity.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in project management with a technical background or product-forward role (Product Manager or Program Manager).
• Solid technical background and the ability to quickly understand technical designs, challenges and risks.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with strong leadership, who can develop and lead a new initiative from the ground up; thrive in ambiguity.
• Excellent cross-functional stakeholder management, trust building, and verbal/written communication skills are essential.

Nice-to-haves

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience in e-commerce/ads/monetization/social media ideally with a large organic user base.
