About the position

As a Senior Product Manager on the E-commerce Governance and Experience team at TikTok, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our marketplace remains safe and trustworthy for users, sellers, and creators alike. This global team is dedicated to enhancing user satisfaction through the development of policies, rules, and systems that uphold quality standards across our platform. Your primary focus will be on building safety product features and strategies that not only promote business growth but also mitigate risks associated with e-commerce activities on TikTok. In this role, you will lead the external articulation of governance strategies for e-commerce sellers and creators, ensuring a balance between fostering business growth and maintaining a secure environment. You will design credit and incentive functions for sellers and creators, creating educational interfaces that facilitate rewards, penalties, and appeals. Your efforts will be directed towards enhancing the ecosystem's vitality and health, which is crucial for sustainable growth. You will also be responsible for developing a robust monitoring system that tracks seller operations and influencer behaviors. By employing data-driven quantitative analysis and qualitative observations, you will identify issues that impact business growth and consumer experiences. Your strategic plans will aim to enhance shopping experiences for both businesses and consumers on the platform. Additionally, you will address feedback from merchants, influencers, and users, refining and implementing rules as necessary. Your role will require seamless collaboration with various internal teams, including business, strategy, and R&D, to facilitate teamwork across different product verticals. This position is integral to the ongoing success of TikTok's e-commerce initiatives, and you will be expected to drive impactful changes that align with our mission to inspire creativity and bring joy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the external articulation of e-commerce seller and creator governance strategies, balancing business growth and risk mitigation.
  • Design seller and creator credit and incentive functions through educational interfaces, constructing capabilities for rewards, penalties, appeals, etc.
  • Develop a robust monitoring system for seller operation and influencer creation behaviors, employing data-driven analysis to identify issues.
  • Address merchant, influencer, and user feedback, refining and implementing rules, and leading design and implementation of product business modules.
  • Foster seamless internal communication, collaborating with business, strategy, and R&D teams to facilitate teamwork across product verticals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • High data sensitivity, with the ability to swiftly identify risks, diagnose root causes, propose solutions, and validate outcomes.
  • Proven experience in international products, community/social products, UGC platforms, supply-demand platforms, and overseas study/work.
  • Passionate about content and e-commerce business, being an avid user of these products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in constructing B-end workbenches and strategizing account security products.
  • Adept at consolidating complex Product Requirement Documents with multiple cross-functional product domains.
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
