About the position

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, and our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. As a Senior Product Manager for Seller Promotion Tools, you will play a crucial role in defining and driving our product roadmaps. Your primary focus will be on understanding the interplay of different pricing and promotional strategies to fuel Seller growth. You will collaborate with operations, data engineers, and R&D teams to identify new features and projects that enhance our platform's capabilities. In this role, you will take ownership of all Seller Promotion Tools, including coupons, deals, and bundles, leading initiatives to grow adoption among Sellers while identifying improvement levers such as traffic and selection. You will be responsible for discovering and building new Seller Promotion products tailored to various seller and market segments, ensuring the best conversion and satisfaction rates. Additionally, you will lead cross-functional projects that evolve our platform capabilities and address operating constraints in a constantly changing payment ecosystem. As the promotion tools product manager, you will advocate for quality engineering solutions and architectural designs, balancing system scalability with localization needs. You will work with leaders in other geographies to scale successful US strategies, products, features, benefits, and partnerships globally. Your analytical skills will be essential in assessing customer and financial implications, prioritizing promising ideas, and creating a cohesive roadmap. You will also evangelize new features for our Sellers, track their adoption, and communicate results with senior leaders. Responsibilities

  • Ownership of all Seller Promotion Tools (coupon, deals, bundles etc) and lead initiatives to grow adoption of existing Promotion tools amongst Sellers and identify improvement levers (e.g. traffic, selection, etc.).
  • Responsible for discovering and building new Seller Promotion products from different seller/market segments, focusing on providing the best conversion and satisfaction rate amongst Sellers.
  • Lead cross-functional projects that help evolve our platform capabilities and break through operating constraints to support a constantly evolving payment ecosystem.
  • Advocate for quality engineering solutions and architectural designs, striking a healthy balance between system scalability and localization.
  • Work with leaders in other geographies to ensure we scale winning US strategies, products, features, benefits and partnerships around the world.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 5+ years of product management in either e-commerce, or internet advertising and other PLG companies.
  • Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up feature and customer segment recommendations.
  • Self-starter with the ability to plan and prioritize critical global initiatives.
  • Excellent data analytical and study skills to identify business opportunities and influence decision-making within leadership.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience working on Deals and Promotional tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of product pricing, merchandising and/or retail math.
  • Previous experience working with sellers and brands; strong interest in retail is a plus.
  • Familiarity with social commerce and/or live shopping.
