About the position

As a Senior Product Manager for Supply Growth at TikTok Shop, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of e-commerce on our platform. The e-commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years, and TikTok Shop is at the forefront of this evolution, re-imagining global commerce with rich content and endless joy. In this role, you will be responsible for creating the strategy, roadmap, and products for all merchandising needs on TikTok Shop. This includes planning end-to-end merchandise products, such as SKU listing and category management. You will work closely with various teams to build a target merchandise acquisition strategy and product solutions for marketplace e-commerce. Your deep understanding of search and recommendation mechanisms will be crucial as you partner with the traffic team to develop merchandise incubation mechanisms and products for both sellers and internal operations. Additionally, you will build merchandise insight tools to identify opportunity products, sellers, or market segments that can be targeted for growth or recruitment. This position requires a highly analytical mindset, as you will use data to make informed decisions and drive product development. You will also need to demonstrate agility in project management, ensuring that planning, execution, and delivery are managed effectively in an agile environment. Attention to detail is essential, as our consumers expect delightful experiences. You will need to embody an owner mindset, taking ideas from conception to execution, and be results-oriented, focusing on identifying core problems and working with development teams to implement solutions. Responsibilities

  • Build target merchandise acquisition strategy and product solution for marketplace e-commerce.
  • Partner with the traffic team to build merchandise incubation mechanisms and products for both sellers and internal operations based on an in-depth understanding of search and recommendation mechanisms.
  • Build merchandise insight tools to identify opportunity products, sellers, or market segments as targets for growth or recruitment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' eCommerce product experience, preferably in seller product, algorithm product, or search product.
  • Deep understanding of search or recommendation mechanisms.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to use data for decision-making.
  • Agile with strong project management skills, particularly in planning, execution, and delivery in an agile environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on creating delightful consumer experiences.
  • Owner mindset with the ability to take ideas, define products, and ship features.
  • Results-oriented, able to identify core problems and work with development teams to implement solutions.
  • Curious and eager to learn, inspiring others in the process.
