The Commerce industry has experienced significant growth, and TikTok Commerce is at the forefront of this evolution, reimagining global eCommerce through rich content and user engagement. The Product Solutions and Operations team plays a crucial role in this initiative, working closely with Product Managers, Research & Development, and business operations to ensure the successful adoption of TikTok's eCommerce platform. This position specifically focuses on products and features that directly impact users within the commerce platform, contributing to the development of product strategy and managing both inbound and outbound responsibilities. As a Senior Product Strategy and Operations Manager, you will conduct extensive quantitative and qualitative market studies to gather insights into user behavior and merchant practices. You will manage feedback from various user types, partner with product management to devise long-term product strategies, and define product requirements based on market studies and user feedback. Your role will also involve prioritizing product requirements, participating in the product development lifecycle, and executing go-to-market activities. Additionally, you will monitor key performance indicators and implement improvement plans to enhance user experience and product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct extensive quantitative and qualitative market studies to gather deep insights into purchasing and content-consumption behavior of end-users, business practices and preferences of merchants, creators, MCN agencies, service providers and other roles in social content-based Commerce.
  • Manage input and feedback from various types of users (end-users, merchants, creators, employees).
  • Partner with the product management team to devise product strategy to ensure long term vision and success for the product.
  • Work together with Product Managers to define product requirements, including business and product objectives, business & market requirements, operational support requirements, etc.
  • Combine ROI analysis, dependency analysis and other techniques to prioritize the product requirements.
  • Participate in the product development lifecycle, review various artifacts to ensure quality.
  • Plan, orchestrate and execute go-to-market activities including product documentation and various other contents, target audience activation plan by segment, and operational support tools.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing to ensure product quality and optimal user experience prior to product launch.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and other product metrics, conduct gap analysis, devise and implement improvement plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in related fields (Computer science, MBA) preferred.
  • 5-7 years working experience in the internet industry; e-commerce marketplace experience is preferred.
  • Great communicator & team-worker, comfortable navigating global organization structures & aligning objectives with cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical, data-sensitive & goal-driven, comfortable with setting ambitious targets, analyzing the status quo, planning a course of action, executing rapid trial & error iterations and constantly improving.
  • Passion for content and enjoyment of shopping.
