The product and operations team is focused on building an innovative, secure, and intuitive e-commerce ecosystem that aligns with TikTok's mission. The role involves working closely with the operations team to explore live commerce and develop successful models for engagement. Candidates will monitor the health of the creator/content ecosystem, analyzing trends in acquisition, retention, and productivity. They will also provide strategic insights on fostering collaboration between merchants and creators, ensuring that TikTok remains a leading platform for social commerce. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and experience in social commerce or e-commerce, with a focus on improving creator/content quality and supply.

Responsibilities

  • Have experience in social commerce or e-commerce companies/projects, familiar with concepts such as traffic efficiency and user funnel.
  • Curious about live commerce and keen to figure out a success model with operations teams, able to picture implementation hurdles.
  • Monitor the overall health of the creator/content ecosystem and acquisition/retention/productivity trends throughout the creator/content funnel.
  • Provide recommendations to improve creator/content quality and supply.
  • Understand the role of external creator and service provider agencies in the social e-commerce ecosystem and provide strategic viewpoints on fostering collaboration between merchants and creators.
  • Connect and prioritize creator/content strategies across the broader TikTok and external social media landscape for the e-commerce business.

Requirements

  • 5 years of strategic and analytical experience at leading management consulting firms and/or tech/e-commerce companies.
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in benchmarking, market research, competitor analysis, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle cross-functional collaboration effectively.
  • Strong ownership mentality and desire to work closely with business teams, taking proactive initiative to identify business challenges and develop innovative solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with strategic analysis toolkits such as structuring analytical issue trees and conducting expert interviews.
  • Experience in creator monetization, content growth strategy, affiliate marketing programs, and/or external content partnerships.
  • Proficiency in writing SQL and conducting data analysis for creator analytics roles.
