The Commerce's Governance and Experience team at TikTok is responsible for ensuring a safe and trustworthy marketplace for users, sellers, and creators. This team focuses on user satisfaction and works on policies, rules, and systems to maintain quality within the TikTok Shopping ecosystem. As a Senior Technical Product Manager for Seller Risk, you will be instrumental in driving product strategies and solutions for TikTok Shopping in North America. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to develop safety product features and strategies, focusing on governance and ecosystem features, and implementing technical strategies to enhance TikTok shopping. You will also be responsible for detecting and addressing risky behaviors and actors within the TikTok Commerce ecosystem. In this position, you will own the product vision, develop the product roadmap, and strategize for existing seller governance and risk mitigation. You will work closely with UI/UX designers, engineers, quality assurance teams, and cross-functional teams to drive product design and implementation. Additionally, you will analyze product performance and seller behavior to identify growth opportunities and improvements, define product requirements for new features, and coordinate development efforts as the product owner. Your ability to develop metrics to measure the success of product features and analyze results will be crucial in partnering across the organization to create actionable plans and enhancement recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Own product vision and develop product roadmap and strategies for existing seller governance and risk mitigation.
  • Drive product design and implementation through close collaborations with UI/UX designer, Engineers, QAs and XFN teams.
  • Partner with other teams to identify product capabilities required to deliver the business goals.
  • Provide insights on product performance and seller behavior, identifying and prioritizing growth opportunities and improvements, defining product requirements for new features and coordinating development efforts as the product owner.
  • Develop metrics to measure success of product features, analyze results, and partner across the organization to develop action plans and enhancement recommendations.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product management in Consumer-Facing mobile or web Internet companies
  • Broad technical knowledge and in-depth understanding of machine learning, statistical modeling, algorithms, OCR and ASR, etc
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and driving innovation on behalf of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to evaluate assumptions, make recommendations and decisions, and drive execution.
  • Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment while balancing multiple responsibilities, scoping projects, evaluating priorities, and effectively working well within a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and online marketplace. Understanding of content platforms and LIVE streaming is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to develop and nurture relationships with stakeholders and vendors
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and audience
  • Flexible and experienced in project management, can lead and operate multiple project streams confidently.
