About the position

As the Strategy Lead for Merchant Incentive at TikTok Shop, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of ecommerce on our platform. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute comprehensive ecommerce resource planning strategies, with a particular focus on incentive design. This includes setting goals and budgets, as well as conducting performance reviews to ensure that our merchant incentive programs are effective and aligned with our overall business objectives. You will be at the forefront of market research, identifying industry trends and benchmarks that will inform our approach to merchant incentives, ensuring that we remain competitive and innovative in this rapidly evolving space. In this role, you will monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to merchant incentives, such as conversion rates, gross merchandise volume (GMV) growth, and merchant satisfaction. You will provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders, helping to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. Collaboration will be key, as you will work closely with product teams to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of merchant incentive programs, as well as with the finance team to analyze the financial impact of these programs and optimize resource allocation based on return on investment (ROI) analysis. Your ability to continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of merchant incentive programs will be crucial. You will recommend and implement adjustments to maximize their impact, ensuring that TikTok remains the commerce channel of choice for merchants, creators, and affiliates. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and a passion for driving growth in the ecommerce sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive ecommerce resource planning strategies with a specialization in incentive design, including goal/budget setting and performance review.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends and benchmarks for merchant incentives, staying informed about emerging best practices.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to merchant incentives, such as conversion rates, GMV growth, and merchant satisfaction, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the product teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of merchant incentive programs.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to analyze the financial impact of merchant incentive programs and optimize resource allocation based on ROI analysis.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of merchant incentive programs, recommending and implementing adjustments to maximize their impact.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years experience of strategic and analytical experience at leading tech companies.
  • 2-5 years experience of leading teams of 10+ direct reports.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL/Python.
  • Proven experience in the ecommerce industry, preferably within resource management, and incentives.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with financial analysis and ROI calculations related to incentive programs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
