About the position

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, and our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. As part of this mission, we are seeking an energetic product operation leader to join our TikTok Shopping User Growth team. This team plays a crucial role in the acquisition, activation, and retention of billions of users through our globally popular products such as TikTok, Resso, CapCut, and Helo. We are focused on building platforms, leveraging data and machine learning models, and providing end-to-end solutions to drive the global growth of TikTok Products. Typical growth projects include paid ads, referrals, and email marketing campaigns. In this role, you will be responsible for the user growth of TikTok Shop, our e-commerce business in the US. You will design and execute growth strategies tailored to local market peculiarities. Your efforts will involve utilizing both internal and external resources, as well as local and HQ resources, to improve key metrics such as the number of new customers, repurchase rates, and average order values. You will facilitate collaboration between the local team and the HQ mid-platform team by contributing local insights and deploying the latest tools and best practices from HQ to the local business. This position requires a strategic and logical thinker with effective planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, as well as a passion for understanding user demands across different cultural backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute growth strategies for TikTok Shop in the US, considering local market peculiarities.
  • Utilize internal and external resources to improve key metrics such as new customer acquisition, repurchase rates, and average order value.
  • Facilitate collaboration between local teams and HQ mid-platform teams by sharing local insights and implementing HQ best practices.
  • Lead data-driven projects and interpret data to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in E-commerce or operations within a technology company.
  • Experience in team management and accountability for core business metrics.
  • Strong strategic and logical thinking skills, with effective planning and analytical abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead data-driven projects and interpret data effectively; familiarity with SQL is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for understanding user demands across different cultural backgrounds.
