About the position

Bear Down Brands is seeking a part-time, freelance Social Media Video Content Creator to enhance its five consumer brands through engaging TikTok content. The role involves collaborating with the marketing team to develop and manage social media strategies, focusing on high-quality video production and editing that aligns with brand standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Director of Digital Marketing, Social Media Manager, and Social Media Specialist on social strategy and ensure the highest brand standards for our social media channels.
  • Independently lead and build out our brands on TikTok, developing engaging content around new product launches, seasonal campaigns, FAQs, brand partnerships, and more.
  • Plan, concept, produce, and edit high-quality video content for TikTok, which may be repurposed to Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Social Ads, and more.
  • Shoot content primarily using an iPhone and potentially other professional camera equipment.
  • Edit and refine content to meet brand standards, optimizing final exports for various social media platforms with best practices in mind.
  • Project manage assigned projects and content deliverables, ensuring timely completion.
  • Assist with integrating and updating the broader Marketing Calendar to include social video content.
  • Manage the organization of all internally shot social content for future use.
  • Attend and assist on all local video and photo shoots in Orange County.
  • Stay up to date with marketing and social media trends, bringing new strategic ideas to enhance social media presence.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience working with social media platforms.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in creating high-quality social media content for a consumer brand or business.
  • Deep understanding of TikTok and Instagram trends, features, and best practices.
  • Proficient in shooting content using an iPhone; familiarity with professional camera equipment is a plus.
  • Strong video editing skills and proficiency in editing software/tools.
  • Creative and engaging approach to producing high-quality social content quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized self-starter with a knack for getting scrappy when needed.
  • Comfortable both on-camera and behind the camera.
  • Experience with Asana and Slack is very helpful.
  • Strong project management, organization, and communication skills.
