The Tile Setter position at Mud Construction Group involves working full-time on-site in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area, focusing on tile installation and related tasks. Responsibilities
- Install tile, stone, and other materials according to specifications.
- Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary materials.
- Mix and apply thinset and mortar for tile setting.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout and design.
- Utilize tools such as wet saws, tile scribes, and handheld cutters effectively.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in concrete construction.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with wet saws, tile scribes, and handheld cutters.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with layout and mixing/applying thinset and mortar.
- OSHA certification in Construction Safety is a plus.
