As the Director of Global Brand Creative, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the creative direction of Timberland's brand, ensuring that our projects align with our business objectives while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment for our creative team. In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and will be responsible for leading and coaching a diverse team of creatives. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include setting the creative vision for Timberland's Global Brand Creative projects, managing the execution of that vision, and ensuring that all creative outputs meet the highest standards of quality. You will oversee the creation and management of eCommerce product page photography and video assets for Footwear, Apparel, and Accessories, elevating brand perception across all product categories. You will also develop annual photography guidelines that encompass style, composition, lighting, retouching, and talent selection, ensuring consistency and excellence in our visual storytelling. Your role will involve merging and managing line plans from various regions throughout the season, coordinating asset delivery from shoots, and overseeing the final selection and retouching of all assets. By conducting competitive research and leveraging design insights, you will continuously elevate and evolve our photography and video aesthetic, ensuring that Timberland remains at the forefront of creative excellence in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative vision for the Timberland brand to achieve overall business objectives.
  • Guide and develop a diverse and creative team toward the successful execution of the brand's strategic creative vision.
  • Create and manage the Art-Direct eCommerce product page photography and video assets for Footwear, Apparel, and Accessories.
  • Set and execute the highest standards for photography, styling, and retouching.
  • Develop annual photography guidelines for the globe, including photography style, composition, lighting, retouching, and talent selection.
  • Merge and manage line plans from regions throughout the season.
  • Manage asset delivery from shoots, including making selections, coordinating retouching services, and file management for all regions.
  • Elevate and evolve photography and video aesthetic through competitive research, design insights, and best-in-class execution.
  • Oversee and deliver all final assets, including final selections, retouching, naming conventions, and retention.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a related field with a proven track record of professional achievements.
  • Experience in managing a diverse and creative group of individuals and leading change.
  • Proven ability to set the creative vision and lead a team of creatives to execute the strategic plan.
  • Strong leadership and consensus-building skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence across all levels, working within teams and individually.
  • Excellent portfolio showcasing storytelling, conceptual, and execution skills in integrated campaigns.
  • Impeccable design taste and innovative thinking.
  • Solid presentation skills and demonstrated ability to run a meeting.
  • Resourceful, creative problem-solving approach to business needs.

Nice-to-haves

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field would be an advantage.
