About the position

The Time and Attendance Payroll Manager at Carrier is a pivotal role that reports directly to the Senior Director of Global Payroll. This position is responsible for the comprehensive management, oversight, and governance of Carrier's manufacturing Time & Attendance (T&A) procedures and activities. The role encompasses direct oversight of the execution of end-to-end time and attendance processes, ensuring that all practices are compliant with company policies, employment laws, and collective bargaining agreements. The Time and Attendance Payroll Manager will interact closely with various teams, including Payroll, HR, Employee Relations, Finance, and Operations, to ensure seamless operations and effective communication across departments. In this role, the manager will oversee a team of 3-5 Time & Attendance Analysts, ensuring that all T&A processes are executed efficiently and accurately. This includes ensuring the timely and accurate flow of data between time collection systems and payroll systems to prevent discrepancies and delays. The manager will also be responsible for the accurate tracking of employee hours, ensuring that the time system correctly records start, stop, and break times, and that employee attendance records align with company policies. Additionally, the Time and Attendance Payroll Manager will troubleshoot any T&A process and system issues, ensuring that timekeeping problems are resolved promptly and accurately. The role requires maintaining data integrity and quality within the T&A systems, supporting both new and existing technology platforms, and providing input into future requirements and testing of new platforms. The manager will also support Time & Attendance audits and provide analytics reports to key stakeholders, acting as the escalation point for any issues or inquiries that cannot be resolved at the analyst level.

Responsibilities

  • Manager with direct oversight of 3-5 Time & Attendance Analysts
  • Ensure all T&A processes and practices are compliant with company policy, employment laws and collective bargaining agreements
  • Ensure seamless and timely data flow between time collection systems and payroll systems to avoid discrepancies and delays
  • Collaborate with HR and Payroll to address and resolve any time and attendance related issues affecting payroll
  • Ensure the accurate tracking of employee hours; Ensuring the Time system accurately records start, stop and break times
  • Ensure employee attendance records are accurate and align with company policies
  • Troubleshooting T&A process and system issues
  • Ensure timekeeping issues are resolved timely and accurately
  • Ensure T&A data integrity and data quality is maintained
  • Support new and existing technology platforms, including input into future requirements and testing new platforms
  • Support Time & Attendance audits
  • Provide Time & Attendance analytics reports
  • Manage T&A communications with key stakeholders
  • Act as escalation point for all issues and inquiries that cannot be solved at the analyst level

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Time & Attendance and/or Payroll experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in payroll management

Nice-to-haves

  • BS or BA Degree: Accounting, Finance, Labor Relations or Information Technology
  • Experience with Kronos/UKG systems a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
