About the position
The Timekeeper position at Austin Industrial involves managing payroll processes and ensuring the accuracy of time reports for employees. This role is essential for maintaining financial records related to payroll, payables, and receivables, and requires strong organizational and communication skills. The Timekeeper will also assist with various administrative tasks and support new employee onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Administer and prepare weekly payroll and verify time reports to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare controls and merge with other data required for preparation of payroll.
- Prepare control documents for reconciling payroll, payables, and receivables transactions.
- Assist with preparation of pay estimates, cost reports, and other financial documents.
- Assist with new employee sign-ups and basic personnel administration activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual closing statements, reports, and invoices.
- Monitor subcontractor costs and issuance of back charges.
- Distribute payroll and train new payroll employees.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- 4+ years of direct experience in a Timekeeping role with payroll.
- Good communication skills and time management skills.
- Experience in an industrial environment preferred.
