About the position
Located at our Dow Seadrift, TX jobsite, the Timekeeper is responsible for accurately recording and reporting employee hours and attendance for payroll processing. They will input time for work crews, shipping and receive data, maintain and update employee records, and collaborate with HR and accounting to ensure compliance and accuracy in payroll reporting.
Responsibilities
- Input time for work crews, shipping, and receiving data
- Track and provide daily cost reporting to TA teams
- Assist the quality team with data entry and filing paperwork
- Compute and post wages and deductions with employee hours worked
- Attend meetings and inform employees of information that helps prepare for future issues related to payroll discrepancies
- Maintain and update employee records
- Ensure that all timekeeping records are accurate and up-to-date
- Collaborate with HR to ensure proper compliance with personnel compensation and benefits relating to hours worked
- Work closely with accounting to reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- Proficiency in accounting and payroll software
- Experience using Track timekeeping software is preferred
- Ability to operate computers, 10-key calculators, and word processing
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive attitude, good work ethic, and professional appearance
- Ability to multitask and problem solve
- Knowledge of mathematical reasoning and analytical skills to avoid errors during work
- Must be reliable and trustworthy
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus
