About the position

The Timekeeper position at Bechtel involves assisting the Chief Timekeeper in maintaining craft activity and ensuring accurate payroll processing for project personnel. This role is crucial for coordinating timekeeping operations, verifying attendance, and managing payroll information for crafts on the Port Arthur LNG project.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Chief Timekeeper in maintaining craft activity.
  • Run force report and perform reconciliation of hours reported in eTrack.
  • Balance daily timecards.
  • Coordinate with Project Industrial Relations for payroll information input.
  • Process new hires including badging and testing.
  • Verify daily craft attendance using Bechtel's electronic timekeeping system, eTrack.
  • Prepare and distribute daily craft time and attendance reports.
  • Receive and record daily craft call-ins in eTrack.
  • Assist with reassigning craft to different crews as requested.
  • Post and balance daily time records for craft payroll and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with printing and preparation of craft weekly pay documents.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of electronic timekeeping systems and payroll principles.
  • Above average computer skills.
