About the position

The Timekeeping Administrator at GEODIS is responsible for managing and maintaining the Time & Attendance system, ensuring accurate time tracking for employees and temp laborers. This role involves reviewing daily punch lists, entering time data, troubleshooting system issues, and generating reports. The position plays a crucial role in supporting payroll processes and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Review the missing punch list daily and determine actual time worked.
  • Enter correct punches into the Time & Attendance system.
  • Enter badge ID numbers for all new employees and temp laborers.
  • Add and maintain schedule templates and shift differentials.
  • Report software or time clock issues to IT via ticketing system.
  • Establish schedules and perform daily maintenance of the time system.
  • Ensure time is allocated to the correct department and customer for all employees and temp labor.
  • Perform the moved OT function when needed.
  • Design and generate timekeeping reports and troubleshoot report issues.
  • Correct incorrect or missing PTO punches and monitor balances.
  • Assist with prior week adjustment inputs and troubleshoot attendance issues.
  • Manage temp labor within the Time & Attendance system, including temp badges and schedules.
  • Assist staffing agencies with questions regarding the Time & Attendance system.
  • Train management employees and staffing agency representatives on the Time & Attendance system.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience with payroll system of record (preferably UKG Dimensions, UKG Pro).
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret payroll information and technical procedures.
  • Ability to plan and organize workload with minimal supervision.
  • High customer service orientation and strong detail-oriented skills.
  • Intolerant of recurring problems and proactive in finding root causes.
