About the position
The Tire Technician position is a foundational role within the tire service industry, primarily responsible for mounting and dismounting tires, performing flat repairs, and conducting inspections. This role serves as a starting point for various other positions within the company, emphasizing the importance of tire maintenance and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Mount and dismount tires for both retail and commercial customers, on and off site.
- Perform air pressure checks, balancing, tire rotation, and flat repairs.
- Ensure lug nuts are tightened to the proper torque specifications.
- Inspect brake pads and recommend preventative services.
- Act as a shuttle and/or customer courtesy driver.
- Engage in phone and counter sales.
- Maintain facility cleanliness and organization.
- Organize the tire warehouse and manage product pick-up/delivery.
- Assist in the lube area and with alignments as needed.
- Complete vehicle inspection reports with all necessary information.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Aptitude for the type of work required.
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record required.
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential job functions.
