The technician will be responsible for performing tissue processing activities in accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), which includes the proper handling, storage, and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste. The role requires a commitment to maintaining a sterile environment and utilizing aseptic techniques throughout the processing stages. In this position, the technician will work the 3rd shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a schedule of 7 shifts every 2 weeks. The responsibilities include using machinery and instrumentation to evaluate, cut, shape, and package implantable grafts, ensuring that all tasks are completed with precision and in compliance with established protocols. The technician will also be responsible for accurately completing paperwork and performing data entry as required, as well as conducting scheduled cleaning of clean rooms according to SOPs. Additionally, the technician will support laboratory functions, including the setup and breakdown of clean rooms and the proper cleaning of instruments. This role is vital to the success of surgical procedures, as it directly impacts the quality and safety of the grafts used in surgeries. The technician must be detail-oriented, capable of working with minimal supervision, and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and assist in training others.
