About the position

The Title III Grant/Guided Pathways Project Administrator is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for Central Oregon Community College's (COCC) Title III and Guided Pathways initiatives. This role involves setting a clear vision, supporting project teams, managing grant activities, ensuring compliance, and leading the development and evaluation of Guided Pathways strategies. The position is grant-funded with secure funding through September 30, 2029, and emphasizes faculty engagement and student success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for COCC's Title III and Guided Pathways work.
  • Work closely with Title III and Guided Pathways steering teams on progress towards meeting project goals and objectives.
  • Ensure strong communication among work groups to avoid overlapping or conflicting directions.
  • Help activity teams identify assessment metrics to ensure success of each initiative.
  • Support project teams with implementing grant activities and manage the Title III grant.
  • Serve as the College's lead for grant regulations to remain in compliance with grant provisions.
  • Work with grant evaluator and the College's Institutional Effectiveness Office to collect data for the evaluation plan.
  • Develop and maintain Title III intranet to track progress, key milestones, reports, and related activities.
  • Complete all reporting requirements of the grant according to required timelines.
  • Create an internal controls manual and maintain budget oversight, compliance, and financial records.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of Guided Pathways with emphasis on faculty engagement.
  • Partner with Educational Pathway leads to set a clear vision and support designing in- and out-of-class strategies.
  • Support existing Guided Pathways development work focused on new student onboarding and advising.
  • Develop and regularly track COCC's Guided Pathways assessment plan.
  • Serve as a liaison among all Guided Pathways implementation teams to ensure effective communication.
  • Partner with Marketing and Public Relations on redesign of the COCC website with a Guided Pathways framework.
  • Serve as the College's primary spokesperson and develop champions for COCC's Guided Pathways work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline offered by Central Oregon Community College.
  • Three years' experience in leading collegewide student success initiatives with an emphasis on faculty engagement.
  • Experience administering complex grants, including fiscal oversight and regulatory compliance.
  • Project management experience in a higher education setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of issues, trends, and best practices in student success and Guided Pathways.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and public presentation skills.
  • Ability to promote systemic change that leads to increased student success, retention, and engagement.
  • Ability to effectively utilize common Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with database and reporting software preferred.
