About the position

The Title Insurance Underwriter at Investors Title Insurance Company is responsible for evaluating and underwriting title insurance policies, ensuring compliance with underwriting requirements, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to customer inquiries regarding status, rate quotes, title defects, and general information.
• Review search/title opinions to determine the status of title, risk analysis, and underwriting requirements and exceptions.
• Underwrite and type commitments, policies, and endorsements according to agency goals.
• Produce daily and monthly reports as indicated by the Marketing/Operations Officer.
• Maintain inventory of policy jackets, forms, and promotional items.

Requirements

• Solid computer and typing skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Prior experience in real estate transactions, underwriting related to title insurance, mortgage lending, legal support, and/or loan processing preferred.
• Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, organize workload, and maintain accurate files.
